DAY. 01: FLY TO ARBA MINCH AND VISIT DORZE VILLAGE
In the late morning pick up at your Hotel. and transfer to the airport to Fly to Arba Minch. Meet the driver at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After some short rest drive back to Dorze Village. to visit the Dorze people. Among their very interesting cultures are their houses built from the bamboo way of life and cultivation of the false banana (from which they extract their local bread, called Kotcho).
DAY.02: EXCURSION IN ARBA MINCH & DRIVE TO TURMI
Take a boat trip on Lake Chamo where visit the Giant Nile crocodiles take a sunbathe on the shores. Hippos hide under the water and you will see also colonies of pelicans. After the boat trip drives to Turmi. on the way visit the Stone Walled compound and village of the Konso tribe. Konso tribe is known for their unique social life structure and practicing agriculture terracing and registered by UNESCO as a world heritage.
DAY. 03: EXCURSION TO OMORATE
Excursion to Omorate to visit the Dassanach tribes across the Omo river by wooden local boat then come back to Turmi in the afternoon to visit the nearby hammer tribe village, also possible to see special occasion ceremonies like weddings and rituals.
DAY. 04: DRIVE TO JINKA VIA KARO VILLAGE
Early Excursion to Karo village for the visit of Karo tribes with their interesting body decorations and scarification; Then drive to Jinka. in the late afternoon visit Ari Village.
DAY. 05: EXCURSION TO MURSI VILLAGE & FLY BACK TO ADDIS
Enter to the Mago National Park to visit Mursi tribes’ village. Mursi tribes are the most famous tradition includes the lip plate worn by the women. The origin of this tradition is not known but the Mursi themselves consider it as something that makes them distinguish from the surrounding tribes.
Afternoon transfer to the airport and fly back to Addis. Depending up on time final shopping at the souvenir shop. Evening have welfare dinner at a traditional restaurant with folkloric dance then transfer to the airport to fly back home.
